my to-do-list :)

I have recently visited Meowliveshere.com.blogspot and was inspired by her to-do-list :). later that day i went to Abbysroom.blogspot.com and saw that she also made her own to-do-list. I decided that since everyone was making to-do-lists i might as well make my own! And since i have soooo many things i want to do than it makes sense to make a list! AND so! Here it is:

fear factor

well, last night was my youth group's Fear Factor Night! it was really fun :)

first, we had to eat marshmallows dipped in mustard and chilli sauce. now, at first i was like, 'ppffff, whatever, i can so do this.' but really! it was GROSS!! but i swallowed it anyway :D

then, we had to chew up gum and then mold all the people's gum together to make a sculpture. i touched a lot of it. and it was gross. we made a sculpture of mars but then we changed it to a cup. we even put water in it!

after that, we ate something that was probably the grossest thing i will ever in my whole life, forced down my throat. miss Christina mixed up in a blender.... a lucky burger hamburger, some french fries, a cup of coke, ketchup, chilli sauce, and then the gross marshmallows with mustard. yes, that is what she mixed up in the blender. and we had to drink it. not good. it was sickest thing i have EVER put in my mouth! it tasted like throw up, it smelled like throwup, and it looked like throwup. i'm not kidding. however i made myself swallow the tiniest bit and i was proud of myself but never again. NEVER again.

after that we rolled and splashed and slid and crawled in SLIME. green, gooey, yucky, SLIIIIIIIMMEE!! YUM! lol not really we didnt eat it but at the end of it i was fully covered in it, head to toe. it was all in my face and hair and some got in my mouth! anyway, it was fun.

THen, after we took 20 minutes to clean up with the hose and showers i dragged myself back out onto the basket ball court. it was spider time. YAYY!! i had been waiting to eat a spider for a long time but when i actually saw them... i could have easily changed my mind. but after a while of staring at that gross, black, curled up spider in my hand i gently ripped a leg off. i screamed. really loud. i didnt mean to but it shocked me! i had just ripped a spider's leg off! after i calmed down i got my bottle of water ready and dropped the leg into my mouth, chewed it up, and than drank some water. it wasnt that bad.... it tasted like burnt barbeque sauce and soy sauce. gross. but i ate another one. :)

then sarah's dad came to pick me and sarah and jessica up. it was fun.

potato chips and a new keyboard....

Hello everyone, i am currently eating "Ruffles Potato Chips, Original" and they are soooooooooooooo good!!!*pauses for a moment to grab a few more crunchy chips and stuff them in her mouth* mmm.... they're so salty! and crunchy! and aaaaaaaaaaawesooome!!!! and the ingredients are so natural! look-- potatoes (obviously, i mean, potato chips that didnt have potatoes in them??) sunflower oil (one of the healthiest oils around!!), and salt!!! thats pretty good! anyway, this was kinda a random blog post but i dont have anything else to write about sooooo.....

OH! i DO have something to tell you! and its BIG too! well, for me it's huge but probably of little interest to you but no matter, i'm going to tell you anyway :)

we.....got.... a new keyboard for the laptop!!!!!!! YAYY!! i was practically driven MAD when i couldnt use both the shift or enter keys cuz those r like important! it looks kinda weird tho, having an actually key board hooked up to a laptop but its definitely worth it! i mean, imagine not being able to do exclamation points or question marks??!!!!! imagine that!! try to type an email or a blogpost without using the shift key.......see? its hard! and frustrating! and even worse, i couldnt even chat on the chatbox on facebook! because you need an enter key to enter it and well, if the enter key doesnt work than obviously its impossible to say anything! *exhales deeply* and so, i think u see my point... hopefully, becuase i really dont want to have to explain myself all over again

hello!! i was bored the other day and having nothing to do i began to skim through my pictures that i've taken on my camera. i found a few good ones and decided to mess with the color, contrasts, and shading. anyway, these are a few of them that i messed around with :)

there's a flamingo, which used to be a pale pink, and is now a black and orangy color......a teddy bear which in the original picture was a creamy white, now a dark, pinkish, purplish, color. and last of all a big cat that i saw at the san diego zoo... i made it darker in some areas and the contrasts darker.
i wish i had more settings to mess around with but our computer doesnt have them....oh well

hullo!!!

have u ever heard of the "Warriors" series?? well, i have for a long time but only recently have i actually seen the books. it was in a bookstore in San Diego. I read the prologues of the first three and their backs and they sound like really great books! I also know 2 people who love the series. So, i decided i would buy the first three: INTO THE WILD, FIRE AND ICE, and FOREST OF SECRETS. But, sadly, i didnt have enough room to pack them in my suitcase so instead i decided i'd just wait until i got home and order them on Amazon. so, now that i'm back i've gone on Amazon and found the first three in a box set for only $10.87. Once i find someone to bring them back for me i'll order them and hopefully i'll like them! If i do then maybe i'll buy the next three :)

Anyway, the series is all about wild cats and them living in the forest and having to fight against the bad creatures of the woods. something like that. and from what i can see from reading the prologues they are extremely well written.

i cant wait to get them and feast my eyes on their contents. *happy sigh*

SUMMER!!!

hello everybody!!

well, summer has been great! every night i've been turning out the light at around 10:45 and getting up at 9 or 9:30! haha, this morning i was up earlier but i just read on my bed for hours so when i actually got up and took a shower it was 11:00!!! i didnt even eat breakfast cuz lunch was in an hour :)

i've basically just been chillin out (reading, writing, being on the computer) and hanging with friends!! :D its been great!

i'm reading an AMAZING book!!!!!! it's the sixth Artemis Fowl book called The Time Paradox and it's amazingly awesome! i love it!!!!! I love artemis fowl!! i love the WHOLE series!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm also reading 'do hard things' which is also just one of the greatest books ever!! its just so inspiring!

i also just finished "The Miricle Worker" which was so good!!! its about Helen Keller and is just so touching and sweet :)

so as u can see i've been reading a lot!!

hello everybody! i'm in california now. in about 3 hours i'll be off to the airport to get on an airplane. well thats pretty obvious of course i'm getting on an airplane! why did i even waste time by writing that i was getting on an airplane?! If i say i'm going to an airport that pretty much implies that i'll be getting on an airplane! unless of course i was picking somebody up from the airport which i'm not! what am even talking about... i believe i'm rambling. hmm. i dont usually ramble. hmm. how interesting. hmmmmm i think i'm acting strangely. i feel weird. dont know why. huh, wonder why. i dont know why. i'm just typing. i'm not even thinking reallly. maybe i'm just in shock that i'm actually going to the airport today. and getting on a plane. and flying to taipei. and then getting on another airplane and flying home. to cambodia. home. i just cant believe it. i've been away for so long and i'm finally getting to go back!!! its like, i'm finally going to go back to my normal life! i've been living out of a suitcase for three months for goodness sake! in just 30 hours or so i'll be back home.... at my house.... playing with my dog...poking lovingly at my probably extremely fat baby guinea pigs.... stroking my silky furred bunny rabbit.....running into the house, racing up the stairs, throwing my backpack on the floor of my room and flinging myself into my bed. my very own bed. in my very own room. it seems like a dream really. a happy dream thats too good to be true, yet i know that it is true.

grapes r yummy :)

I had some grapes yesterday that were the BEST grapes i have EVER had in my life!!!

they were seedless, first of all, and nice and cold. secondly, and the skin simply broke and wasnt hard to chew at all. thirdly, as i bit into the grape and the cool, yummy grape inside was sweet-- not a hint of bitterness at all.

i love grapes...... dont u?

POPSICLES!!!!!!

I LOVE popsicles! i love it how before u lick one it is covered in flakes of ice.... mmmmm... they're so sweet and yet have just a tinge of tartness...

i think i'll go eat a popsicle....=) dark cherry or strawberry kiwi? Or perhaps blueberry?

camping and canoe riding

Hello friends!! only a few days ago my family and I were in Emminence, Missouri. we went up into the Ozarks for a 2 day camp. we tried to get a cabin but they were already full. however, we ended up at a campground called Circle B. it was by a lovely river called Jacks Fork River, and even though we didnt get a cabin we got a hotel room that was basically just like a cabin! (the only difference between our room and the cabins was that the cabins had a kitchen--and i think it's better that we didnt get a kitchen) The land around us was beautiful.... dark green leaves swayed gently in the wind and bristled as squirrels leaped to and fro among the branches. Directly behind us, down a small dip, was a campground for tents among a forest. beyond the tents the ground switched from dirt to rocks. The rocks at the bottom of the river sparkled and glimmered as the hot afternoon sun reflected off the clear, blue water. (the picture below is of the river--the water is actually not brown, but very clear. the rocks just make it look brown. farther away u can see a strip of blue water, and that is where it gets deep.) The first day we just hung around, roasted marshmallows and made s'mores (i made my very own marshmallow stick that i carved with my new carving tools!), splashed in the river and got soaked through, and just had fun!! it was awesome!

The next day we got up bright and early, put on our damp clothes from the other day, ate breakfast (granola bars and cereal), strapped on our water shoes and went outside to wait for the bus to come pick us up to take us upstream to where we would get in canoes and paddle down(we signed up for the 2 hour one). Now, u might be wondering what "water shoes" are. well, when we first got there we tried to go down to the river with bare feet. not smart. the jagged rocks scraped and hurt our feet so much it wasnt very fun at all! even in the river the sharp rocks pushed against our feet and we had to get out. so mom and kath went to Walmart (a 2 hour drive there and back) and bought water shoes. these were shoes that had thick rubber bottoms and tops that had tiny holes for water to flow in and out of them. They helped extremly well and even if they may have looked a bit dorky everyone at Circle B was wearing them so it really didnt matter.

Anyway, where was I.. ah yes, canoeing. we we going canoeing. i thought it would be as easy as kayaking but no siree i was SO wrong! first of all the paddle is one sided. you have to switch it completely around to paddle on the other side. the canoe itself is a lot bigger too. So, we started out--Mom, kath and I in one canoe, and Caleb and Dad in the other. There really is too much to tell about in one blog post so i'll just write about one exciting thing, the canoe tipping. yes, my canoe tipped. flipped over. yes, it did. looking back at it it was quite an exciting adventure but at the time it was a bit scary. i'll elaborate.

The canoe was arranged in this way: katherine was at the front, a paddle in her hand. i sat in the middle on the bottom of the canoe because i was taking a break and letting katherine paddle for a bit. behind me my mom sat also had a paddle. in the boat with us we had two towels, a plastic bag with bottled water. i had my sun glasses on and my new, tan colored hat on my head, and my blue, "glacier freeze" gatorade in my lap. my dad and caleb were already a ways ahead so they pulled up onto the rocks to wait for us. we paddled along but we got caught in a current. it pushed us towards an overhanging branch. oh no, i thought, and tried to yell suggestions to katherine to get us out of the current but it was too strong. It swept us along closer and closer to the branch. it was big and had many small branches sticking out of it, a big scraper. the other problem was that it was much to close to the water to duck beneath it. behind me my mom said, "this is gonna hurt." my, that didnt make me feel any better but there really wasnt any time to think of anything. i saw katherine put her hands up to grab the branch but it slipped from her grasp and i grabbed it too...but then, if i let go it would wack my mom in the face! to tell u the truth, i really dont know what happened next, except that the next thing i knew i was plunged into the icy cold water. it was much deeper than i thought it was and extremely cold. the rock that slammed into my knee implied that there was also big, sharp rocks beneath me. i dont know what happened but the first thing i thought was, 'mom! kath! r they alright? what if one hits her head!! oh no this is terrible!' the second thing i thought was 'ahh! my hat! my new hat! where's my hat??' i forced my eyes open and saw that everything was very dark and it soon occured to me that i was STUCK BENEATH THE CANOE. so my third thought was 'ok, i'm underneath the canoe... i'm gonna drown if i dont get back up. oh no! this is just what happens to people in movies! they get stuck beneath boats and cant get back up and they drown! ak!!' but i forced my legs to kick and my hands to push myself down and then up to the clear, glittering surface above. i burst from the water and scrambled ashore. The strange thing was is that it felt like the whole thing had taken minutes, but in reality it was just a couple of seconds!

my dad was there and he was helping mom flip the canoe over. i saw katherine splashing her way towards a paddle and then saying something about her sunglasses. where were MY sunglasses? then i realized i still had them on! haha! but then, oh no! my hat! i saw it and my mom's hat swish by and tumbled towards it. i grabbed my hat and plopped it back on my head, even though it was soaked through--it didnt matter because I was soaked through too!. i grabbed my gatorade that floated by and one of the green towels and pushed my way against the rough current to the shore. i was shaking all over and i honestly dont know whether it was the cold water or that i might have drowned that made me shiver. Whatever it was, it didnt matter because i was okay and so was katherine and mom. We had only lost the bag of water and katherine's sunglasses. the water wasnt a big deal but katherine's sunglasses had a special perscription and were REALLY expensive!

i was almost afraid to keep canoeing but i did and the rest of the ride was smooth as silk--except for a few rapids but we got through them fine.

cake batter at coldstone that tasted like cake batter

you know, i had CAKE BATTER ice cream the other day at coldstone. CAKE BATTER. and you know what, it tasted like CAKE BATTER.

i really hate vending machines....

i confess that when we first got to the US i was extremely excited about vending machines. at the hotel i used one and i loved it! u just punch in the number and slide in the $ bill and poof! there's the chocolate bar! however....this one particular vending machine in washington DC at the hotel outside is really a pathetic stupid terrible vending machine....this is the reason why..........



well, yesterday it was stormy and rainy with lightening and rain sweeping across the parking lot in front of the hotel. my mom and brother went in the car to the laundry place and my dad was getting ready to talk on the phone in the hotel room so my sister and i had to be quiet. kath began to listen to her i pod and there was nothing for me to do. dad was using both computers...one with skype and the other he was writing things down with. soo...........i was bored. and i wanted candy. and where do u get candy? a vending machine.



well, the vending machine just happened to be out in the open with no covering. but i wanted that chocolate reesus peanut butter cups. and so, i took 4 quarters and put them in my pocket and tramped 3 levels down the wet stairs and with big drops of rain and roaring wind splashing against me i stepped up to the candy apple red vending machine and looked through the rain splattered glass at the candy and crackers and chips inside. reesus peanut butter cups was #52. so, i put the four quarters in the slot and pushed 5. but the 5 didnt light up and it didnt show on the screen that i had pushed 5. so i pushed 5 again. and before i knew was was happening the machine went CA CHING and i realized that the machine thought i said 55. i didnt want number 55!! i stared at #55 as it fell into the open slot before me. cheese crackers. a crack of lightening lit up the sky and with a crash of thunder i felt even more cold rain pour out of the cloudy sky and drench me to my skin. i stood there, wet and mortified, staring at the cheese crackers. i had just used a WHOLE dollar on CHEESE CRACKERS!!! I DIDNT WANT CHEESE CRACKERS!!!!!!!!!!! after a while i finally leaned down and picked up the hated cheese crackers. i stomped back up the three flights of stairs. when i got to our room i swung open the door just as a crack of thunder went CRASH. seroiusly, it was like in a movie! my dad looked at me--drenched wet, hair flung everywhere, and with a grumpy face.
"what's wrong?"
"the stupid vending machine gave me CHEESE CRACKERS!!" i pouted, and through the crackers down on the floor.
so, i headed back down with more coins and this time punched in the right number. nothing happened. i did it again and again and again and again but it didnt move. so i got my coins back and concluded that maybe the vending machine only used quarters. i tramped back upstairs to get 4 quarters but on the way up i bumped into a lady dressed up as if for a party and she looked at me as if i was crazy (i didnt have any shoes, my jeans were rolled up, i was soaked through and my hair was wet and stringy. i could feel my face turning red and i mumbled a small "eh, sorry" and hurried on. after much trouble i got 4 quarters (i had to trade other coins with katherine to get quarters). then i skipped down again sure that i would get those reesus peanut butter cups. but, as i glanced from the stairs down at the vending machine i saw the lady that i had bumped into at the vending machine. (it wasnt pouring rain now only sprinkling) i went back up to the room and waited. when i was sure she was gone i started back up the stairs but then i saw that she was coming UP the stiars! i slipped and stumbled back to room and shut the door behind me quickly (by now my dad was loooking at me strangely, but continued talking on his important phone call). finally, i went BACK downstairs. the lady was gone and the vending machine refused to work. i gritted my teeth and kicked the machine. that was stupid of me. it hurt REALLY bad! with a humph and a uuuuugggh i pulled drenched self up the 3 flights of stairs and got a dollar bill. then i went back downstairs and jammed the bill into the slot. it slid in perfectly only to be pushed back out by the machine. it must be crumpled. AARRGHH!!!! i was SO frustrated and tired and cold and angry but i was NOT going to let that vending machine win... no...i was going to get those reesus peanut butter cups no matter what. i needn't have to tell you what happened next because i'm sure u kno. yes, i went BACK upstairs to get a different dollar. i didnt have one. my dad saw my problem and tossed me his crispest bill. back i went and gently put the dollar in. it got a bit wet but i did go in! but then it came out. i think i almost passed out. but, at the moment my brother came back from the laundry. i told him everything and he simply punched in the number of the candy that i wanted and slid the bill in. THUMP!! the candy dropped into bowl. i blinked. i reached down at the candy and picked it up. i blinked again. need i say more??

i eat just like a hobbit!!!

hello! sometimes i amaze myself at how much i can eat! really, yesterday i had 1st breakfast, 2nd breakfast, elevensies, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and supper--just like a hobbit!! i'm not joking! for 1st breakfast i chowed down a blueberry begal with butter; 2nd breakfast was a bowl of cheerios; elevensies was a ham and cheese sandwich; lunch was crackers with ham and cheese with ranch dressing (my cousins think its gross but seriously, its good); afternoon tea was a ruby red grapefruit, dinner was pizza, and supper was chocolate chip cookies with orange juice! lol i know that the last thing isnt really what you'd call supper but whatever =D

WOAH! Cook won!!!!! well i'm happy for him :).

ok now you're probably thinking ' whatt??? she likes david archuleta!' and i DO. a LOT. in fact, i'm thinking i just might sell my gameboy to buy an I pod to download all archie's songs onto it so i can listen to them 24/7. MWAhAhAhHa! BUT, david cook is awesome as well. he sings really well and is really nice and sweet even tho some people dont think so. (abby! u used 2 think he was mean!!) anywayz....did u see david archuleta's smile when him and david cook went up onto that little stand behind the judges??! it was huge! he was obviously really really happy for david cook. and i watched an interview with archie before the finale and he said that it would awesome to win american idol but he would also be happy if david cook won becuz david cook has been like a brother to him. AWWW! thats so sweet ! :) and then david cook said in his interview that he wouldnt mind at all if he got second place becuz that archie is such a great guy and awesome kid with an amazing voice and he really deserves to win! isnt that nice? it was so stupid how they kept showing clips of boxers. that was dumb. it was like they were trying to make it look like archie and cook were really fighting for the win and they wernt! david cook said before they sang on the singing night Top 2 that as far as he's concerned the competition is over! anywayz i believe i've rambled. lol.

Who will win American Idol? David Archuleta? David Cook? Syesha Mercado? who?who?who?!?!?!?? I, personally, think that David Archuleta will win. well, i hooope that he wins. he's my favorite. I think syesha will go this week, cuz she isnt as popular as David A and David C. David archuleta has SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many fans.......but so does David cook................here i have unlimited high speed internet so i''ve been watching soooo many videos of interveiws with david archuleta and then some interveiws with his friends. also, his whole highschool loves him so he'll be getting THOUSANDS of votes from all them! also, they have these awesome little clips each week of backstage where they ask them funny questions like, one week it was what super power would u have? it was hilarious!! and the latest one was what r ur pet peeves? that was HYSTERICAL i cant get over it!!!! its so awesome........:):):) its at youtube and to find it just type in the search box "american idol top 5 pet peeves" check it out, its SOO FUNNY!!

its so weird reading the comments below pictures and videos becuz there's such a conflict between david archuleta and david cook. like, the first comment will say that she likes david archuleta, the next will be david cook, the 3rd will say that david archuleta is awesome, and the nxt will say i hate david a david cook is awesome...and then the 5th comment will have someone sayin that david cook is so proud and stuck up and has a terrible voice and that david archuleta is so sweet and has the most amazing voice in the world....and so on and so on!!! i just cant tell who's getting the most votes!!

hi everyone, well, i'm in america now.....i seriously miss cambodia SOOO much!!! i cant stand it sometimes! i need cambodiaa!!! well, i might as well show u guys some piccys of the US....here are some:

i cant say " and on the right is ___ and below is a pic of ___" becuz when i actually post it arranges the pictures differently. So, the grey puppy dog is Maverick, my cousins new puppy. They dont know if they're keeping him or not tho. :( anyway, in the pic he's actually sleeping in my arms! sometimes we call him Grey Dog :) and u kno that song that Toby Mac's kid sings, True Dog. and that part that goes "true doooog......true dooooog...." well i changed it to "grey doooog....grey dooooog..." LOL i love it...its his theme song! oh and his eyes are toircoise blue!! so gorgeous......:):):) he'll be GORGEOUS when he's big, and he'll get REAlLY big!

Ok then, the shoes r my new shoes and i LOVE them! they're sooo cute and they fit perfectly! i also got some blue stripy socks and some strawberry socks!! they look yummy! and u kno whats SO cool? David archuleta has them too!!!! mwahhaha lol!!!

And then there's me on the beach! LaALLaLaAlLaAaaaaaa! with the wiind blowing in my hair.....the smell of salt in the air.....seagulls circling the water and sand...it was awesome. thats why im stretching my arms soooo wiiiiiiiide........lol my arms look realy long and thin..haha

And then the little one is on me looking cool (heehee) in my HUGE sunglasses. ha i look like a bug :) that picture was taken at an animal park.

More doUGHnuts!

well abby if u insist i shall spell it as doUGHnuts! so everyone, today i'm going to write about doUGHnuts. yesyes meowie they are Krispy Kreme doUGHnuts!! *slobbers* dont theeeese look delicous! dont worry people, i'll eat LOTS of krispy kreme doUGHnuts for u guys while i'm in the US so dont u worry.... lol.

anyway, just look at that glazed doUGhnut! so crispy and sweet and moist!! only a doUGHnut can truly melt in your mouth.....that sweetness splashing over your tongue as you bite into it! aaaahhhh...the soft....sugary....taste..........

now, its different if you have a powdered jelly filled one. with your first bite you will find a thick coating of powdered sugar on your tounge and around your mouth. swishing your tongue around the sweet powder will come off and slide down your throat. then, u will lick it from around your mouth and again ur mouth will be full of that sugary powder....just imagine it.....with your second but ur mouth will not only be filled with powdered sugar but a yummmmyyy jelly....plus the doUGHnut part. all of this will mix together in your mouth and u will gulp it down in delight!!

i shouldnt bother to keep writing because i'm sure that your computers have already blown up.

I love the old winnie the pooh drawings. they're so pretty.....i dont really like the new animated movies, the old ones are so much more cute and adorable.

I dont get it why people think that winnie the pooh is for babies?! they're soooooo sweet! same as veggetales. i love veggetales!

American Idol!!!

Hello my wonderful readers, i'm sure that some of you here have watched american idol? if you havent you should! I love this season the best so far--there are so many great singers!! my favoites are David A., David C., Jason, and Brooke! they all have so wonderfully good voices! These two pics are of David A and David C. David A is the one smiling, and David C is the one who isn't, lol. Anyway, they're both my top 2 favorites. Well, gotta go! byebye
